A potential employer's first point of contact with you is your profile, so you want to have a great one that will leave a lasting impression.
Employers tell us freelancers with profiles that have a detailed summary including work history, examples, top skills and strengths really stand out. Keeping this in mind, here are our best tips for making your profile stand out.
On your dashboard, you'll see all the options you have for editing your bio. Click edit to add to the different sections.

First off, upload a profile picture - it doesn't have to be of you but don't be afraid to show us your best 'hire me' grin!
A profile picture adds credibility to your profile, so it's important to upload one.

Next up, a meatier task - the bio.
Your bio should give employers a brief overview of you, what you're capable of, and anything relevant you think employers might need to know. You might like to include:
- Particular industries/areas you have experience with e.g. start ups, FMCG, agencies, Android apps, digital strategy, UI design, campaign management.
- How long you have been freelancing or working for.
- Skills or philosophies that set you apart from others in your field.
- Specific clients or projects you've worked on that you're particularly proud of.
Keeping your bio brief but packed with useful info is key, bullet points can also be quite effective! Check out the example below for some inspo.

Adding in your previous work experience is also important, make sure to fill in your role and how long you held it! If you've got a lot of experience to choose from then add the best and most relevant experience you've got.
